HTP Tool uses only what it needs to work: no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Because these are strictly necessary, the law does not require your consent for them; this page tells you what they are.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session | HTP Tool | Keeps you logged in, remembers the scenario you are working on and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Until you close the browser or log out |
Some interface preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not used to identify you:
The Tool measures how it is used (time on the site, simulations run, reports downloaded) to improve it. This is done with requests from the page to our own server, not with cookies or third-party analytics, and only for logged-in users. See the Privacy policy for details and how to object.
To show maps and load software libraries, your browser contacts external services (listed in the Privacy policy). HTP Tool does not ask them to set cookies; their own policies apply to any they may use.
You can delete or block cookies and local storage from your browser's settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to log in.
